The Equestrian Monument

This booklet offers insight into The Equestrian, the monumental 36-foot bronze sculpture installed at El Paso International Airport, widely regarded as the largest equestrian bronze statue in the world. Sculpted by John Houser with the assistance of his son Ethan Houser, The Equestrian depicts the historic figure of Don Juan de Oñate astride his mount as part of the XII Travelers Memorial of the Southwest.
