The booklet was published in commemoration of a talk that was supposed to be given by Sabiha Al Khemir, Tom Lea’s Southwest, and How It Speaks to Sabiha at the El Paso Museum of History on March 26, 2020, El Paso, Texas. Sabiha Al Khemir is an art historian, novelist, and artist. Heralding from Tunisia and an expert in Islamic art, she has consulted for institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and curated exhibitions for museums such as the Louvre and the Dallas Museum of Art and was founding director of the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar. Additionally, Al Khemir has authored fiction and non-fiction works and has illustrated several publications.
 
The booklet is a beautiful 18-page booklet printed on 100 lb paper.
