Tom Lea, an Oral History

Tom Lea: An Oral History is based on a series of recorded interviews that Tom Lea gave in 1994 to Adair Margo for the University of Texas at El Paso’s Institute of Oral History. Developed from those conversations and enriched with images from exhibitions and Lea’s personal archive, this work presents his own account of his life, career, and creative process, illuminating his roles as artist, illustrator, writer, and chronicler of 20th‑century experience.
